Once again the Bank supported London's grand celebration of Chinese New Year in Trafalgar Square and Chinatown in London on 2nd February 2014. The annual event is known as the largest celebration of Chinese New Year in Europe attracting over 300 thousand spectators from all over the world.
The Bank's CEO, Mr Fang Wenjian attended the event together with other distinguished guests including Chinese Ambassador, His Exc. Mr Liu Xiaoming, Deputy Mayor of London, Victoria Borwick, and Lord Mayor of Westminster, Sarah Richardson.
2014 is the Year of Horse which symbolises speed, prosperity and success. Staff of the Bank participated in the event and delivered the best wishes of the Bank to the audience. They also took the opportunity to introduce the Bank's products and services.
It has been the thirteenth consecutive year that the Bank supported this event, which reflects the Bank's long-term commitment to corporate social responsibility and support to the Chinese community in the UK. The Bank also aims to help promote the image of London as an international and multi-cultural business centre of the world.
