Outward Remittances

Introduction

Outward remittance refers to a remittance approach provided by Bank of China by which customers can remit money to other banks. Currencies include: RMB, USD, EUR, ZAR and RMB.

Features

Bank of China has an outlet network covering 29 countries and regions and 643 overseas branches, with its international clearance centers in New York, London, Bangkok, Tokyo and other currency centers and correspondent bank relationship throughout major regions. Bank of China can offer customers with the best remittance paths. Based on years of experience, Bank of China can provide customers with global remittance services and professional consultation services, making the remittance unimpeded.

Target Customers

Any customer in need of remittance services can apply for the service with or without an account at any Bank of China with remittance services.

Procedure

1. For customers of Bank of China ZAMBIA: fill out the remittance application form and submit to Bank of China ZAMBIA.

2. For those who are not customers of Bank of China ZAMBIA: they can transact in ZMW, USD and RMB cash remittance at Bank of China ZAMBIA in person as long as they carry with them a valid ID and/or proof of residence.

Required Documents

1. For customers of Bank of China ZAMBIA: valid identity documents.

2. For those who are not customers of Bank of China ZAMBIA and in need of cash remittance services: personal valid identity documents, i.e. National Registration Card, Passport and residence permit/ (including working permit).

Tips

1. Customers need to show the source of funds/income to the bank if they are to remit over USD5,000.00(or the equivalent) .

2. If the receiver has not received the remittance, customers are recommended to check the receiving account information and handle inquiry / change procedures over the remitting counter with personal identity documents and remittance receipts .Bank of China will patiently help customers with the inquiry / change.

3. Special requirements for outward remittance in RMB:

a) The receiving bank can be anywhere which accepts RMB. At present, RMB cannot be remitted to China due to regulatory policy restrictions.

b) The remitter shall provide detailed information about the receiver and account details: name (Chinese & English), address of the receiver, account number of receiving account and name of receiving bank (specified to locality).
