Closing an Account

Before closing your account, ensure any outstanding cheques are presented and all periodic payments and direct debits are cancelled.

Then visit a branch and provide sufficient identification to close your account.

If the account has a credit balance, provide details of where and how you would like the funds disbursed. In circumstances where bank cheque is required, a fee may be payable as set out in our Schedule of Fees and Charges.

If the account has a debit balance, the amount plus any accrued charges, including interest and outstanding fees will need to be paid to the bank prior to closing the account.

You can close your credit card online using your Mobile Device or Online Banking.
