Job Title:  IT System Administrator

Job Location:  Bank of China (Canada), Head Office, Markham, ON

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Wintel Servers installation, upgrade and maintenance, SAN and NAS storage configuration and Server hardware configuration, upgrade and maintenance.
  • Use MS Active Directory Users and Computer Tools to great extent to manage user accounts
  • Conduct Rollouts and software\hardware refreshes: Windows 7 migration and deployment projects.
  • Provide onsite and remote on-call technical support and software/hardware issues troubleshooting ranging from computer breakdown needed to be re-imaged, standard and non-standard Windows application issues (such as Lotus Notes, Access, Excel, MS Word, SQL Advantage, VPN Remote Access Connection, etc), Windows OS issues with user local profile and access, virus and mal-ware infections, and hardware issues.
  • Lead or participate in related IT projects or other tasks assigned by the Company.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge and over 5 years’ experience on MS-Active directory and Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012 Server, exchange 2010 servers.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in Information Technology Service support with proficient trouble shooting skills on Windows Operating System, Anti-virus Software with Symantec and MacAfee, Software, and Personal Computer hardware issues.
  • Good knowledge and extensive experience in Data Migrate, Backup and Recovery (local and remote) strategy and implementation.
  • Good knowledge and experience in several large scale deployment projects.
  • Excellent experience with team work and project management skills.
  • Good knowledge and experience in Windows Networking, LAN/WAN, and Cisco routers.
  • Good knowledge and experience with Xerox, HP printer configuration and service.
  • Good knowledge and sense in Information Security.

Certifications:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related areas
  • MCSE in Windows Server, CCNA is preferred.

Skills:

Computer Hardware: Servers, most models of PCs, laptops, printers and scanners; Cisco networking equipment.

Computer Software: MS- Active Directory, Exchange 2010 servers. Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 or Windows 2012 Server, VMware vSphere, Windows 7, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Internet Explore.

Project Management: IT related Project Management knowledge, skills and experiences

Language and Others:

  • Detail-oriented, hard-working, and have a strong sense of responsibilities
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
