Position Title: Office Administrative Assistant/Receptionist 

Location: Downtown Toronto

Position Available: 1

Job Summary: As the first point of contact for Bank of China Toronto Branch, the receptionist is expected to perform various office administrative duties.

Responsibilities and Accountability:

  • Greeting visitors and guests and directing them to the appropriate staff members/meeting areas
  • Answering all incoming telephone calls and ensuring they are directed to the appropriate people 
  • Sorting and directing mails and processing courier packages
  • Provide administrative support to staff in the Branch, including meeting/conference scheduling,  coordination of office events and special projects as requested
  • Accountable for the general maintenance of the Branch including ordering office and kitchen supplies
  • Coordinating office upkeep with building management service to resolve facility related issues
  • Monitoring the usage of supplies and equipment in the Branch. Order all supplies required by branches staff from external venders
  • Communicating with internal and external couriers; Preparing, receive and distributing of all courier packages in a timely manner

Job Specifications:

  • At least 1 year experience working in customer service or office administrative role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to converse fluently in English and Mandarin is essential
  • Relevant post-secondary education with Diploma/Degree in Business Administration
  • MS Office experience (Word, Excel and Outlook) required
  • Ability to perform tasks in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle complexity
  • Ability to handle difficult customers with diplomacy, strong “service” focus
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Possess a valid driver’s license is an asset
