Bank of China (Canada) provides comprehensive banking services for new immigrants, overseas students, permanent or temporary residents and visitors.
Pre-Open Account Service
Customers can apply for our pre-open account service before landing Canada. The application will be witnessed by branches in China. If the application is approved, we will open a bank account for eligible applicants. Customers can transfer funds to the account directly in order to make the financial arrangement in advance. For all pre-open accounts, the first settlement charge for incoming remittance will be waived.
In addition, we offer Overseas Student GIC Service to eligible students. After funds have been deposited into a pre-open account as required, we will issue the GIC Certificate. The students can present the Certificate to Canadian government agency when applying for a visa. The Certificate issued by our bank will benefit the applicant in terms of fast visa processing.
High Net-Worth Clients Program
VIP customers who possess financial assets of over C$1, 000,000 or equivalent in Bank of China or Bank of China (Canada) may qualify for a personal residential mortgage up to 65% of property value. Financial assets could be deposits, bonds, mutual funds or equities in an investment account.
Non-Resident Program
Customers with working permit, study permit or visitor visa may qualify for a personal residential mortgage up to 65% of property value under non-resident program.
