China's First Great Wall Card

Basic Introduction: After a pilot scheme of BOC cards in Zhuhai, Bank of China Beijing Branch proposed to the Head Office in May 1986 for authorization to issue Great Wall Card. The Head Office approved the proposal, deciding to use Great Wall Card as the brand name for its future credit card products and choosing Beijing as the pilot region. Then Bank of China Beijing Branch issued Great Wall Card, a foreign exchange settlement credit card, marking the beginning of the ever-flourishing Great Wall card products. |
Card Face Description: The design is in line with the card issued by Bank of China Zhuhai Branch, except for the Great Wall emblem on the upper-left corner in replacement of the spade coin pattern and the additional scenery of the Great Wall at the bottom in grey. |
