Great Wall payment card
Introduction
Great Wall payment card is a set of RMB debit cards themed by Beijing scenery and issued by Bank of China on the occasion of 2008 Olympic Games. The card falls into five versions, which respectively integrates the dynamic elements of sports with the scenery of the Temple of Heaven, the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Beihai Park and the Summer Palace.
Functions
Bank of China Great Wall payment card shares the functions of Bank of China Great Wall debit card, including: multiple accounts in one card, account linkage, nationwide deposit and withdrawal, card payment, ATM withdrawal and deposit, transfer, agency salary payment, pension, telephone banking, foreign exchange trading, Gold facility, escrow, funds agency, T-bonds and other functions.
Procedure
Chinese and foreign citizens with valid identity certificates issued by the host country may apply for the Great Wall payment cards by filling out a special bilingual application form, which is available at the outlets of Bank of China.
Charges
Card issuance fees will be charged according to the standard rate released on the application day. In case of replacement of the missing card, loss reporting fees will be charged according to the applicable rate. An annual fee of RMB 10 will be deducted on the issuance date of the card.
The bank will charge annual fees in accordance with the standard rate published in that year.
No fees will be charged for deposit or withdrawal over the counters or at ATMs of Bank of China in the deposit city. For the deposit and withdrawal outside the deposit city (including Hong Kong and Macau), fees will be charged according to the applicable rate.
For cash withdrawal on other banks' ATMs with "UnionPay" logo, inter-bank handling fees will be charged according to the applicable rate. No handling fees will be charged for card payment in both local and other cities.
The card is valid in China only (including the networked ATMs and merchants in Hong Kong and Macau)
Tips
1. Limited issuance for collection
The limited issuance of Great Wall payment card shall end on December 31, 2008, which gives the card great collection value.
2. For the convenience of collection, customers may apply for the cards without a passbook.
