Functions
1. One card linking multiple accounts
This card can be linked to multiple accounts in multiple currencies including common current account, all-in-one current account, all-in-one time account so as to get rid of the inconvenience and risk incurred from carrying many passbooks around.
2. ATM service
Customers can handle various transactions such as cash withdrawal, deposit (on CRS), account transfer, balance inquiry and password changing on ATMs at Bank of China's networked outlets at any time. Customers can also handle cash withdrawal, inquiry and other transactions on ATMs bearing the UnionPay logo both at home and abroad without being subject to service hour restraints.
3. Card payment
With the card and the preset password, customers can make payment for consumption by swiping card at the bank's appointed partners and merchants with "UnionPay" logo (shopping malls, hotels and entertainment venues) home and abroad without any handling fee. With this card, customers can save a lot of trouble of carrying cash.
4. Telephone banking and online banking
Customers may apply for Bank of China's telephone banking and online banking services to be kept informed of the account dynamics, pay utilities fees at any time and learn about the latest information on exchange rate and interest rate for easy wealth management.
5. Agency collection & disbursement
Bank of China delivers bill-payment services to customers with regard to utilities fees for water, electricity, gas, fixed telephone and mobile phone.
Procedure
Adolescents under age of 16, accompanied by their custodians, could apply for this card at any outlet of Bank of China; or alternatively, their custodians could apply for this card on their behalf. The adolescent's Hukou book and other valid identity documents together with the custodians' valid identity documents are required in both circumstances (in compliance with PBOC's rules on real-name system).
Charges
Card issuance fees will be charged according to the standard rate released on the application day. In case of replacement of the missing card, loss reporting fees will be charged according to the applicable rate.
Annual fees will be charged at the standard rate released in that year.
No fees will be charged for deposit or withdrawal over the counters or at ATMs of Bank of China in the deposit city. For the deposit and withdrawal outside the deposit city (including Hong Kong and Macau), fees will be charged according to the applicable rate.
For cash withdrawal on other banks' ATMs with "UnionPay" logo, inter-bank handling fees will be charged according to the applicable rate.
No handling fee will be charged for card payment at any places.
The card is valid in China only (including the networked ATMs and merchants in Hong Kong and Macau)
Tips
1. For the safety of the funds, customers are recommended to reset the password at Bank of China's ATMs upon getting the new card and guard against shoulder surfing and theft during usage.
2. With the card and password, the customer can withdraw cash on ATMs with a daily maximum accumulative amount of RMB 20,000. Without overdraft function, the card has no payment limit at the bank's appointed partners.
3. In case of card or password loss, customers should go through formal loss reporting procedure with their valid identity documents at the issuing bank. After the specified loss reporting period, customers can apply for a new card or password reset. Customers may request suspension of the lost card via telephone banking or at any outlet of Bank of China in special circumstances, but must begin the formal loss reporting procedure at the issuing bank within the next five days.
4. For card or password loss reporting and card replacement, fees for handling and card issuance will be charged according to applicable standard rate.
