1.Personal Term Deposit Interest Rates for New Zealand dollar (NZD)

- Minimum amount for NZD Term Deposit is $200,000.00;
- Maximum amount for NZD Term Deposit is $10,000,000.00;
- There are no fees for applying for a term deposit;
- Early withdrawal may result in the loss of interest earned , if applicable;
- For terms of six months or more,
- You can choose interest payment period from the options of monthly, quarterly, six monthly, annually or at maturity (applicable to NZD term deposits only);
- If you request early withdrawal, you cannot make part withdrawal request and the Deposit Amount can be only withdrawn in full;
- For terms less than six months, interest is paid at maturity;
- Interest is calculated on a daily basis by simple interest instead of compound interest (*Simple interest and compound interest are the two common methods of interest calculation. Simple interest is calculated on your initial deposit amount. Compound interest is calculated on your initial deposit amount and the accumulated interest over the previous interest periods, and it can be referred to as “interest on interest”);

2.Personal Term Deposits Interest Rates for Foreign Currency
Bank of China (New Zealand) Limited offers Foreign Currency Term Deposits in USD, AUD, and CNY.
Minimum amounts for Foreign Currency Term Deposits are:
- USD: 50,000.00
- AUD: 50,000.00
- CNY: 1,000,000.00
