Economic Research Analyst (Oct. 2024)

Responsibilities

• Track major local economic indicators & policies and analyze their impact on financial markets& the Bank's businesses and provide views on data, important events, and economic & industry development trends.
• Carry out Macroeconomics research & industry research, which are used for the Bank’s strategic planning and business development, in a timely manner with high quality.
• Prepare analytical reports/ presentations for wide range of internal and external clients & execute research commissioned by the HQ and the Branch management & the various BUs.
• Handle ad hoc research requests as per requirements.
• Achieve target with quantitative and qualitative assessment.

Requirements

• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, demonstrate ability to write related reports and create presentations, and to communicate with counterparts from Head Office and overseas Branches.
• Have a good knowledge of databases, able to use various statistical tools and demonstrate strong data visualization skills.
• At least 3 year related working experience in financial industry.
• Master degree and above is preferred.
