Notice of Revision of Interest and Penalty Computation Rules for BOC Personal Time Deposit Premature Withdrawal (Effective from 1 September 2024)

Dear Valued Customer,

We will be revising the Interest and Penalty Computation Rules for BOC Personal Time Deposit Premature Withdrawal with effect from 1 September 2024. The changes are as follows in the table below:

Foreign Currency Time Deposit Account	USD, EUR, GBP, NZD, AUD, JPY, CAD and HKD	7-Day, 1 to 12, 18,24-month for USD 7-Day, 1 to 6-month for all other currencies	Interest is calculated based on the original interest rate Penalty charges apply	Interest is pro-rated based on the number of days that the Time Deposit is placed, calculated on the prevailing savings account rate with the corresponding currency (including 0.00%) at the time of withdrawal No penalty charge
