1.This BOC CASA/Credit Card bundle Promotion ("Promotion") is valid from 15 June 2024 to 15 September 2024 (both dates inclusive) ("Promotion Period"). By participating in this Promotion, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions of this Promotion ("Terms and Conditions").
2.To qualify for this Promotion, you must be a new customer of Bank of China Limited, Singapore Branch ("BOC") who meets the following criteria during the Promotion Period:
a) Open a new Current Account or Multi-Currency Savings Account("Account") with BOC and simultaneously successfully applies for a credit card (excluding Credit Cards with S$500 limit)(the "Credit Card") via online banking or mobile banking;
b) Ensure that the Account and Credit Card is validly existing (i.e., must not be suspended, cancelled or terminated for any reason), in good standing, and conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner at all times, as determined by BOC in its sole and absolute discretion for the duration of the Promotion Period. The customer also must not cancel the Credit Card or close the Account within 6 months from successful application / opening;
c) Is one of the first 588 customers to successfully apply for both the Account and Credit Card, and maintains a minimum account balance of S$1888 in the Account for at least one month during the Promotion Period; and
d) A "New-to-Bank" applicant, which refers to an applicant:
i.who is not an existing Principal and/or Supplementary Cardmember of any BOC credit cards;
ii.who has not terminated any Principal and/or Supplementary BOC credit cards within the last six (6) months;
iii.who is not an existing account holder of any accounts with BOC; and
iv.who has not terminated any accounts with BOC within the last six (6) months.
(hereinafter referred to as an "Eligible Customer")
3.Each Eligible Customer shall be entitled to receive one (1) voucher worth $50 ("Voucher") under this Promotion, regardless of the number of Accounts an Eligible Customer may hold during the Promotion Period. The Voucher must be redeemed by 28 February 2025. For the avoidance of doubt, joint account holders of an Account who qualify for this Promotion under Clause 2 above shall be deemed as one (1) Eligible Customer for the purposes of this Promotion and will only be entitled to receive one (1) Voucher under the Promotion.
4.This Promotion is limited to the first 588 successful customers only. BOC’s decision on whether or not a customer is an Eligible Customer shall be final and binding on all customers and BOC shall not be obliged to disclose any reason therefor or entertain any appeal, correspondence or claim.
5.Eligible Customers shall be notified via SMS within four (4) to eight (8) weeks after the end of the Promotion Period. BOC shall not be responsible for any lost SMS and/or any failure by any Eligible Customer to receive the Voucher for any reason.
6.Vouchers are provided at BOC’s discretion, and BOC reserves the right at any time in its sole and absolute discretion to rescind the Voucher, or to substitute such Voucher with any other gift of equal or similar value as BOC may select, in each case without prior notice or being obliged to provide any reason therefor.
7.In the event that a customer wrongly receives a Voucher, or cancels the Credit Card and/or closes the Account within 6 months from successful application, BOC reserves the right to recover the value of such Voucher from that customer, including by deducting the value of such Voucher from any account which that customer has with BOC. No person shall be entitled to any payment or compensation from BOC should BOC exercise its discretion under this Clause.
8.The Voucher is neither refundable, transferable nor exchangeable for credit, cash, reward points or payment in kind in any form, whether in full or in part. All Vouchers are not valid for use with any other promotion and may not be used in conjunction with other promotions, discounts, privileges or offers, unless otherwise stated.
9.BOC is not an agent of the merchant, any of its affiliates or business partners and makes no representation as to the quality, finesse of use or merchant ability of goods or services provided by them. BOC assumes no liability or responsibility whatsoever in respect of any of the said goods and services rendered or for any injury, loss, damage, cost or expense in connection with or arising out of the redemption or usage of the goods or services offered under this Promotion. Any dispute which a customer may have in relation to the goods or services provided by the merchant shall be resolved directly between that customer and the merchant without BOC’s involvement.
10.All participants in this Promotion irrevocably consent and authorise BOC and its agents and vendors (including but not limited to the parties involved in organising, promoting and conducting this Promotion and/or any redemption or supply of the Voucher) to collect, use and disclose their personal data, in whole or in part whether in Singapore or outside Singapore, to any person for the purpose of this Promotion and/or any redemption, and confirm that they have read and agree to be bound by the terms of BOC’s Personal Data Protection Policy, as may be amended, supplemented and/or substituted by BOC from time to time, a copy of which can be found on www.bankofchina.com/sg/aboutus.
11.Notwithstanding any other provision in these Terms and Conditions, BOC shall be entitled in its sole and absolute discretion and without liability to any person to amend, vary, modify, supplement or cancel any of these Terms and Conditions, extend, shorten, change or withdraw this Promotion, or terminate a customer’s participation in this Promotion, in each case at any time without giving any reason or prior notice therefor. In such event, no customer shall hold BOC responsible notwithstanding that he/she may have fulfilled one (1) or more criteria under this Promotion or that he/she may be eligible to receive or has received a Voucher.
12.The decision of BOC in connection with any matter relating to this Promotion is final, conclusive and binding on all customers and no correspondence or claims will be entertained.
13.BOC shall not be responsible nor shall accept any liabilities of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising or suffered by all customers resulting directly or indirectly from this Promotion, including but not limited to where BOC is unable to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions due (directly or indirectly) to the failure of any telecommunication authority or service provider or any other third party which may be engaged for this Promotion, any machine or communication or computer system, industrial dispute, war, Act of God, or anything outside the control of BOC.
14.By participating in this Promotion and/or accepting the Voucher, customers shall be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including any amendments and variations thereto. These Terms and Conditions are additional to, and shall be read together with, the Terms and Conditions Governing Accounts (including the Terms and Conditions Governing Electronic Banking Services) and BOC Cardmember Agreement, which shall continue to apply. In the event of any inconsistency between the terms and conditions, the preceding terms and conditions shall apply in priority over these Terms and Conditions.
15.These Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore and by participating in this Promotion, customers irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
16.A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap 53B) to enforce any term herein or enjoy any benefit conferred hereunder. Notwithstanding any provisions to the contrary, the consent of any third party is not required for any variation (including any release or compromise of any liability) or termination of these Terms and Conditions.
