1. What is Bank of China Mobile Banking?
Bank of China Mobile banking is a new mobile APP that gives you access to banking services and allows you to manage your accounts from your mobile phone.
Our Bank of China Mobile Banking APP comes with useful features such as balance enquiry, funds transfer within own accounts/3rd party BOC accounts/other local banks accounts, transaction history, bill payment, international remittance and RMB pre-settlement.
All BOC customers holding at least one of the following accounts and with existing Personal Online Banking access can bank via BOC Mobile Banking:
a. Current or Savings Account(s)
b. Fixed Deposit(s)
c. Credit Card(s)
d. Mortgage Loan(s)
2. How can I register for Bank of China Mobile Banking Service?
Registration via Personal Online Banking:
Step 1: Log in to Bank of China Singapore Internet Banking. Click “Service Setting” and select “Mobile Banking Service”.
Step 2: Read and accept the Terms and Conditions Governing Electronic Banking Services.
Step 3: Confirm the registered mobile number that you have maintained with the Bank.
Step 4: Provide your mobile banking username, password and eToken OTP to complete the registration.
Step 5: After you have registered for our Mobile Banking Service, please download the APP from Apple’s App Store or Google Play (click to download: Bank of China Mobile Banking APP Download). You can log in immediately with your mobile banking username and password now.
Note: If you need to update your mobile number, please visit any of our BOC branches.
Registration at any of our branches:
Step 1: Proceed to any of our BOC branches and apply for Mobile Banking service on-the-spot.
Step 2: After you have registered for our Mobile Banking Service, please download the APP from Apple’s App Store or Google Play (click to download: Bank of China Mobile Banking APP Download). You can log in immediately with your mobile banking username and password now.
3. Why can’t I load the page for Service Setting to activate my Mobile Banking Service?
Please check your compatibility setting to ensure that you do not have ‘bankofchina.com’ added to your list of compatibility view websites.
Steps to remove compatibility view for Internet Explorer Version 11 and above:
STEP 1: Click on 'Tool' and select 'Compatibility View Setting'.
STEP 2: Click 'Delete' to add bankofchina.com to the list of websites for Compatibility View.
Click on ‘Service Setting’ – ‘Mobile Banking Services” again to reload the page.
4. How can I register for SMS OTP Login?
SMS OTP Login is a new feature introduced for both our Personal Online and Mobile Banking. It serves as an alternative second factor authentication on top of our current eToken.
A 6-digit OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number via SMS to authorise and complete your login to Personal Online or Mobile Banking services.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Providing you a secure online experience is our highest priority. We recognise that your privacy and security are of the utmost importance and have devoted a great deal of effort to ensure that your personal information is safeguarded. Existing customers who would like to register for this service can proceed to any of our BOC branches and apply for SMS OTP Login service on-the-spot.
5. How do I download the app for Bank of China Mobile Banking?
You will need to register for Mobile Banking via Personal Online Banking or at any BOC branch before you can access our Bank of China Mobile Banking.
Search for BOC Mobile Banking on the Apple’s App Store or Google Play.

6. How is Bank of China Mobile Banking app different from Personal Online Banking?
Our Bank of China Mobile Banking app is designed specifically for ease of use on mobile devices. Your phone’s built-in features (like touchscreens) are used and information is customised for a smaller screen.
7. What are the supported mobile devices for Bank of China Mobile Banking?
- iPhones - iOS 5 and above
- Android smartphones with Andriod 2.3 or above
8. How much does Bank of China Mobile Banking cost?
There are no bank charges for using Bank of China Mobile Banking. You will need to check with your mobile service provider on data charges that may apply for your mobile device or tablet.

This is the limit set for the total amount that you may transact for any combination of services performed via our Electronic Banking Services in a day. This limit excludes the transfer of funds within your own BOC accounts.
For your information, the daily transaction limits set by the Bank can be customised via our Personal Online Banking service. However, the maximum transaction limits will be determined by the Bank. Please note that the Bank reserves the right to change the daily transaction limits anytime without prior notice.
10. I am an existing Personal Online Banking customer; do I still need to register for Bank of China Mobile Banking?
Yes, you will need to register. You may register for Bank of China Mobile Banking services via Personal Online Banking or visit any BOC Singapore branches to register. Your mobile banking username and password will be provided on-the-spot.
11. Can I access Bank of China Mobile Banking overseas?
Yes. You can access Bank of China Mobile Banking anywhere as long as you have a connection to the internet via your mobile device. Please note that you may incur roaming data charges while overseas. Please check with your service provider for data charges that may apply.
12. Can I activate my eToken via Bank of China Mobile Banking?
No. Activation of eToken, if applicable, can only be performed by accessing your Bank of China Personal Online Banking via a computer.
13. Do I need a BOC account to use Bank of China Mobile Banking?
Yes. You need to be a registered Bank of China Personal Online Banking user to use Bank of China Mobile Banking.
14. If I have cancelled my Bank of China Online Banking service, can I still access Bank of China Mobile Banking?
No. If your Bank of China Personal Online Banking account is cancelled or dormant, you will not be able to access Bank of China Mobile Banking.
15. Do I need to have my eToken to use Bank of China Mobile Banking?
Yes, you will need your eToken. The same security and authentication procedures will apply to both Bank of China Personal Online Banking and Mobile Banking.
16. Can I be logged in to Bank of China Personal Online Banking and Bank of China Mobile Banking at the same time?
No. You will receive an error message if you try to log in to both platforms concurrently.
17. What will happen to my Bank of China Mobile Banking session if I leave my phone idle for a while?
For security reasons, your Bank of China Mobile Banking session will be automatically terminated after 10 minutes of inactivity. You will then need to log in again.
18. Is mobile banking safe?
Yes, Bank of China Mobile Banking is as safe as Bank of China Personal Online Banking because the same security measures are used. For more details, please click: Security Tips.
19. What will happen to my existing bill payment and funds transfer arrangements? Do I need to set them up again?
Your existing bill payments and funds transfer arrangements will not be affected. You will be able to continue to access all your payees and billing organisations from the funds transfer and bill payment lists on the new mobile banking app and vice versa.
