Service Introduction
BOC SMS Alerts is a free, value-added service that keeps you updated on your banking transactions by sending SMS alerts to the mobile number registered in the Bank's records. The default threshold limit for SMS alerts is S$500 and SMS alerts will be sent for transaction amounts that exceed the pre-set threshold limits that you have set.
SMS alerts are valid for mobile numbers registered in Singapore and countries such as Australia, Cambodia, Canada, China (other than "Hong Kong, China", "Macau, China", "Taiwan, China"), France, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, United Kingdom and Vietnam.
You can now keep track of your transactions on-the-go and receive instant alerts on your deposit accounts, as well as on your credit and debit cards. You will receive SMS alerts under normal circumstances, from sender BOCSG for SMS alerts from Bank of China Singapore Branch, unless in the event of network disruptions or problems with your communication device that prevents you from receiving the alerts.
Service Function
BOC SMS Alerts includes notice to active accounts on financial transactions and notice to active accounts on non-financial transactions.

- Account Debit Transactions
- Account Credit Transactions
- Debit Card Transactions
- Credit Card Transactions ,including overseas transactions
- Update of Personal Particulars
- International Inward/Outward Remittance
Personal Online and Mobile Banking Alerts:
- Add Funds Transfer Payee
- Add Bill Payment Payee
- All forms of Funds Transfers, including International Remittance and CNY Pre-Settlement Remittance
- Bill Payments ,including credit card payments
For security purposes, Personal Online and Mobile Banking SMS Alerts is a mandatory service. You are not required to opt-in and these alerts will be available to you once you have applied for Personal Online and Mobile Banking Services

- ATM Cash Withdrawals
- Overseas ATM Cash Withdrawals
- Cheque Clearing
- GIRO Arrangements
Reminder:
Banking Account refers to Current/SGD Savings/Multi-Currency Savings/Time Deposit and other types of BOC accounts with ATM/Debit Card issued by BOC. All the above accounts will be automatically enrolled in BOC SMS Alerts Service. BOC SMS Alerts Service is governed by the Terms and Conditions Governing Accounts (Part H. TERMS AND CONDITIONS GOVERNING SMS ALERTS SERVICE).

Once an SMS alert is sent out from our system, it will be transmitted to you via your telecommunication network. BOC SMS Alerts are valid for mobile numbers registered in Singapore and countries such as Australia, Cambodia, Canada, China (other than "Hong Kong, China", "Macau, China", "Taiwan, China"), France, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, United Kingdom and Vietnam. Mobile network failure at any point may cause a delay or failure in receiving the alert at your end during transmission and you may not receive the alert on the same day.
Please note that BOC SMS Alerts are only available on GSM and GSM1800 networks. CDMA network is not supported.

5. What are the Terms and Conditions of using BOC SMS Alerts?
