Welcome to the 2012 Chinese New Year Celebration at Trafalgar Square


 

The biggest annual Chinese New Year celebration in Europe will be in Central London on 29th January 2012. Organised by the London Chinatown Chinese Association, the celebrations will take place in Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Chinatown and Shaftesbury Avenue from 10 am. Every year, this event attracts over 300,000 visitors and residents.

Bank of China London Branch and Bank of China (UK) Limited have been one of the main sponsors for the event for 10 consecutive years.

Celebrating performances from famous Chinese song and dance companies will be shown at the Chinese New Year celebration. As 2012 is the year of the Dragon, you can’t miss the dragon and tiger dances. It is also the 100th anniversary of Bank of China. If you want to get some lucky money in the traditional Chinese red envelopes for a blessing year, the God of Wealth from Bank of China will hand out red envelopes to visitors and offer his sincerest wishes.

At Trafalgar Square, senior client managers from Bank of China (UK) Limited will introduce financial products and services of the Bank at the market stall. Special anniversary gifts will also be given away to visitors.

Everybody is welcomed to join the celebration!
