Introduction
As part of our efforts to make our bank statement service more accessible and convenient for our customers, we are introducing electronic statement from 29th March 2021, a faster and safer way to access your bank statement. Electronic Statement is an electronic version of the physical copies of your account(s) statement(s) in Adobe PDF format that can be downloaded from BOC Internet Banking/Mobile Banking. With Electronic Statement, you can conveniently store your BOC UK bank statements in electronic copy which you can easily download.
The Way of Setting Up
You can set up your electronic statement via internet or mobile banking.
1. Set up via internet banking
After you login to your internet account, go to Statement Service Setup menu and click the button of Statement Service Setting. And then select the relevant account and submit, and then you could choose the Statement Period. Once you click the confirm button, the statement service will be set successfully.
2. Set up via mobile banking
After you login to your mobile banking account, go to Statement Service Setting tool in the menu of Service Setting of your mobile banking (version 5.2.7 or above). Select the relevant account and submit, and then you could choose the Statement Period. Once you click the confirm button, the statement service will be set successfully.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. What will happen to my paper statement if I set up the electronic statement?
A: After you have successfully switched to electronic statement you will no longer receive paper statement.
2. How to view and download my electronic statement?
A: You can view and download your statements in PDF format via the Account Statement Service option in My Accounts menu on internet banking or via View E-Statement option in My Accounts menu on mobile banking (version 5.2.7 or above) at any time. Please note that your latest statement will only be available to view and download two days after the system generated statement date E.g.: If your electronic statement is generated on 31th March 2021, you can view and download it from the night of 2nd April 2021.
3. How long will the historic statements be stored in my internet and mobile banking?
A: You can access up to 3 years of historic statements commencing from the time you enrolled for electronic statement. You will not be able to view any historic statements prior to your enrolment to electronic statement.
4. What could I do when I need paper statement?
A: If you need paper copy of your statement, you can visit your local branch with the required identification documents or contact our call centre 0800 389 5566 (from UK) or 0044 20 7282 8926 (from overseas). Our staff will be happy to assist you.
